Every week I talk to hundreds of people about real estate, not only buyers and sellers, but Realtors, lawyers, mortgage people, home inspectors, want-to-be real estate moguls, tire kickers, bloggers, whiners, goody-two-shoes, and to clients, friends and family.
I usually hear 50 different opinions about real estate and when I ask why they say or think the way they do, it is because they read something (even though it was a British newspaper or make a zillion bucks with no money down deviates ), watched something on TV (American), or spoke with their accountant, financial impersonator or boss that repeated what they most likely got from something they read or saw on TV!
So, always ask, is it true?
Well, you would think I was asking them to go for a prostate exam; they get uptight (a pun) and then spout words of wisdom! I believe that facts don’t lie and until I can walk on water, I can never predict the real estate market –or maybe I could if I made a career change and became a weather forecaster or a motivational guru!
If you want advice about getting your shoes repaired, who would you go to? Your hair arranger, your dentist, your Realtor, your pastor or a shoe repair shop?
For real estate advice, you could ask me but what do I know? I only talk to buyers and sellers daily, mortgage people, home inspectors, real estate appraisers, builder s and tradespeople.
